Jurisdiction: Bitterroot National Forest – West Fork Ranger District Saturday at 2pm…..For the residents of West Fork and Painted Rocks areas, there will be a fire information meeting at the ICP located at Scripps Yonder Ranch on the Nez Perce Road 4 miles west of the West Fork Ranger District office.Today: The fire was very active after the inversion lifted. Helicopters were used to support firefighters on the ground throughout the day. However, several spot fires were reported late afternoon near Thompson Flat and Pole Mountain. Down drafts of 20 -25 mph stopped helicopters from working the fire in the Grass Gulch area and south. Firefighters were able to work on the spot fires at Pole Mountain....
